Karin Truu

Karin Truu studied midwifery at Tartu Health Care College and King’s College London.

She is an experienced midwife with many years of practice, having worked for eight years in the UK at Kingston Hospital NHS Trust. Since 2013, she has been a midwife at Elite Clinic. In the UK, Karin also worked as a specialist midwife in newborn examinations, in addition to her roles in antenatal, delivery, and postnatal care, and was part of the triage midwife team.

At Elite Clinic, Karin has worked not only in the maternity department but also alongside fertility treatment specialists, enhancing her expertise through both Estonian and international training. Her specialization in gestational diabetes began with her bachelor’s thesis at Tartu Health Care College and has continued through ongoing professional development.

Karin Truu holds a Level 6 midwife qualification and was recognized for having conducted one of the most thorough and outstanding professional self-assessments in recent years in the field of midwifery.

Her working languages are Estonian and English.
