Cervical Examination with a Colposcope (Colposcopy)
Kolposkoopia on tupe ja emakakaela instrumentaalne läbivaatlus kolposkoobi abil.

Colposcopy is an examination used to detect cervical cancer and precancerous conditions (cervical dysplasia), performed by a gynaecologist. The procedure is conducted in a gynaecological chair, similar to a routine gynaecological examination.
The necessity of the examination is determined by a gynaecologist. Using a colposcope, a specialized microscope the doctor can examine the cervix in detail and detect any cellular changes. If necessary, the gynaecologist can take a tissue biopsy during the procedure, which is always sent for pathohistological analysis.
Please note that the examination cannot be performed during menstruation.
At the Elite Clinic, colposcopies are performed by Dr. Katrin Org and Dr. Liis Kriisa. To undergo the procedure, please book an appointment for their consultation.
