1. Pregnancy Rate in Endometriosis Patients according to the Severity of the Disease after Using a Combined Approach of Laparoscopy, GnRH Agonist Treatment and in vitro Fertilization (pdf):
Aim of the study: To evaluate the effects of combined treatment approaches on endometriosis-associated infertility in different stages of endometriosis using laparoscopy, gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist (GnRHa) therapy and in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Conclusion: Pregnancy and delivery rates at different stages of endometriosis were not affected by the different approaches used for infertility treatment, with >60 and >50% of patients having conceived and delivered a baby, respectively, in both groups. The usefulness of GnRHa treatment for endometriosis patients with minimal to mild forms is questionable and deserves further studies.
2. Adenomyosis pregnancy outcome after pituitary down-regulation and assisted reproduction in endometriosis patients (pdf) :
The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of GnRHa therapy on the pregnancy outcome in endometriosis patients with and without adenomyosis.
No significant differences were found in pregnancy outcome between patients with/without adenomyosis and GnRHa therapy. Pregnancy, in th is group of patients , is generally achieved within 12 months after laparoscopy and mostly through IVF.
3. Combined treatment of endometriosis – IVF results (pdf) :
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of combining laparoscopy with long – term GnRH treatment on IVF results in patients with different stages of endometriosis.
Although we did not find a statistical differen ce in pregnancy outcome between groups with various stages of endometriosis, combined treatment including laparoscopy and prolonged GnRH agonist treatment before IVF is effective for achieving pregnancy in patients with endometriosis after several unsucces sful IVF trials.
4. Adenomyosis and endometriosis: pregnancy outcome after pituitary down-regulation and assisted reproduction (pdf) :
The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of GnRH a therapy on the pregnancy outcome in patients with and without adenomyosis.
No significant difference s were fou nd in pregnancy outcome between patien ts with/ without adenomyosis and GhRHa therapy . Pregnancy is generally achieved within 12 months after laparoscopy and either spontaneously or on the first IVF attempt.
5. Pregnancy outcome in endometriosis patients using combined approach of laparoscopy, GnRH treatment and IVF (pdf) :
The objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of laparoscopy with/withou t GnRH treatment on spontaneous and IVF pregnancies of patients with different stages of endometriosis.
There were no differences in pregnancy outcomes in women with different stages of endometriosis with more than 60% of patients conceived and more than 50% delivered during the study period.
6. Whole exome sequencing of benign, pulmonary metastasizing leiomyoma, reveals mutation in the BMP8B gene (pdf). Benign metastasizing leiomyoma (BML) is an orphan neoplasm commonly characterized by pulmonary metastases consisting of smooth muscle cells. Patients with BML have usually a current or previous uterine leiomyoma, which is therefore suggested to be the most probable source of this tumour.
The purpose of this case report was to determine the possible genetic grounds for pulmonary BML.

Aim: To evaluate the association of objectively measured physical activity (PA) and sedentary behaviour before and during in vitro fertilization (IVF) with controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) and pregnancy outcomes.
Conclusion: PA seems to affect ovarian stimulation outcomes in IVF treatment, but does not seem to affect the embryo implantation and early pregnancy establishment processes. Based on our study results, the patients receiving embryos in IVF program could continue their normal life-style without reducing PA levels.

Summary Sentence: Transcriptome profiling of 57 endometrial receptivity genes specifies the menstrual cycle phase of endometrial samples.

Study question: What are the reported data on cycles in ART, IUI and fertility preservation (FP) interventions in 2016 as compared to previous years, as well as the main trends over the years?
Summary answer: The 20th ESHRE report on ART and IUI shows a progressive increase in reported treatment cycle numbers in Europe, with a decrease in the number of transfers with more than one embryo causing a reduction of multiple delivery rates (DR), as well as higher pregnancy rates and DR after frozen embryo replacement (FER) compared to fresh IVF and ICSI cycles, while the outcomes for IUI cycles remained stable.

Aim: We set out to explore the cytotoxic effects of a panel of compounds to find toxins with different efficiency in eutopic versus ectopic cells, thus highlighting alterations in the corresponding molecular pathways.
Conclusions: Overall, the results confirm evidence of large-scale metabolic reprogramming in endometriotic cells, which underlies the observed differences in sensitivity towards toxins. The enhanced efficiency of doxorubicin interfering with redox equilibria and/ or DNA repair mechanisms pinpoints key players that can be potentially used to selectively target ectopic lesions in endometriosis.
