The ELITE clinic is looking for sperm donors.
We are looking for healthy men aged 19-40 who have a wish and desire to provide their own help to infertile couples and whose sperm indicators are sufficiently good.
Donor candidates undergo thorough sperm and infection tests at the expense of the Elite Clinic and will need to fill in certain forms. NB! Whether the donor candidate is suitable as a donor will be determined after giving a sperm analysis.
Donors will receive compensation of 200 EUR for the donation of semen after each eligible donation and if the infection tests carried out on the day of donation are normal (the test results have been usually received within 7 days).
If the donor candidate has given the first sample for the so-called full semen analysis, a donor contract is signed, tests of all required infections are taken from the blood and urine and if the result of this sperm analysis test + also the freezing test of the sperm is good enough, the remaining part of the sperm is frozen – the first donation procedure is recorded.
The donor candidate is invited to give a second so-called full semen analysis+ also the remaining part of the sperm is frozen – the second donation procedure is recorded, tests of all required infections are taken from the blood and urine, and now as well as a package of genetic risk tests.
If all the initial infection tests results are normal – which will be revealed approximately within 1 week after giving them – the compensation amount will be transferred to the donor’s bank account immediately.
The third donation takes place once the results of to the genetic tests have also been received – it takes about 6 weeks from the date of sending them – and then the required infection tests are also taken every time on the day of sperm donation, when the results are received, the donor receives compensation each time.
The personal data of the donor will not be disclosed – recipients can only see certain physical and clinical characteristics of the donors (weight, height, eye and hair colour, blood type, rhesus factor), education and nationality. The fact of donating is not fixed anywhere in the person’s medical history – the information does not leave the clinic.
Donated sperm is frozen and stored in liquid nitrogen.
Here are some proactive answers to any questions that may arise:
When is donor semen used? Donor semen is used in case of those couples when the quality of sperm on the male side is very poor, has either very low or non-existent sperm count, has very poor sperm build or very poor sperm motility. Most often there is a combination of these indicators.
How is donor semen used? Donor semen is used either for the intrauterine insemination procedure (IUI), which means that after washing the sperm and enriching the mobile fraction, the sperm solution is injected into the recipient woman’s uterus through a fine plastic capillary in the immediate vicinity of the uterus on last day of ovulation or during the in vitro fertilisation procedure (IVF). In most cases, in the case of IUI, ovulation is also provoked with some stimulation to support the development and growth of the egg.
